StackClear is a game-library tracker for Android and stackclear.net, developed by StackClear, an independent service operated by a sole developer in Quebec, Canada. This page explains how to delete your StackClear account, how to delete only your synced library data while keeping your account, and which data is deleted or kept.
Delete Your Account in the App
1. Open the StackClear app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings and tap your account at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm. If you have not signed in during the last few minutes, StackClear asks you to sign in again. If multi-factor authentication is on, you also enter your code.
Deletion starts as soon as you confirm and cannot be undone.
Delete Your Account on the Web
1. Go to stackclear.net/account-settings and sign in with the same account you use in the app.
2. In the Danger zone section, select Delete Account.
3. Type DELETE and complete any sign-in or verification step StackClear asks for.
The app and the website share one account, so you only need to delete it once.
Request Deletion by Email
If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your StackClear account and ask for your account to be deleted. We may verify your identity before completing the request.
Delete Only Your Synced Library
You can delete your synced library data without deleting your account.
• In the app: go to Settings, tap your account at the top, then tap Delete Synced Library.
• On the web: go to stackclear.net/account-settings and select Delete Synced Library in the Danger zone section.
Type DELETE to confirm. You may be asked to sign in again or enter a multi-factor code.
This permanently deletes every game in your synced library, with each game’s status, progress, playtime, rating, dates, platforms, ownership sources, and private notes. XP and statistics earned from those games are removed, and the library stored on that device or browser is cleared. No recovery copy is kept. Your account, profile, published reviews, custom lists, follows, and connected services stay in place, and you can import or add games again later.
What Account Deletion Removes
Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in account and the StackClear records linked to it, including your profile, username, uploaded avatar and profile background, synced library, progress, playtime, ratings, private notes, reviews and review comments, custom lists, favorites, achievements, XP and rewards, follows and blocks, notifications and push tokens, feature requests and comments, preferences, and connected-service links and stored tokens (such as Steam, Epic Games, RetroAchievements, and Patreon).
Uploaded avatars and profile backgrounds are removed before the account itself. If that cleanup cannot finish, the deletion stops and can be retried.
What We Keep and for How Long
Some information can remain after deletion, for a limited time or where the law requires it:
• Limited backups and service-provider logs remain for a reasonable period until they expire.
• Private support messages and bug reports you sent us remain for a reasonable period.
• Security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute, or legal records, including legally required purchase records, are kept as long as required.
• Moderation and administrative records are kept without the link to your account. Automated moderation records store a fingerprint (hash) of checked text, not the text itself.
• Early-access signup information is kept until the Android public launch and is then removed from the invitation list.
When you delete only your synced library, StackClear keeps a list of the deleted game identifiers and deletion times, with no progress or notes, so your other devices do not restore those games. Each entry is removed when you add that game again or delete your account.
Patreon Memberships
Deleting your StackClear account does not cancel a Patreon membership. Cancel it on Patreon to stop future charges. Patreon keeps its own membership and payment records under its privacy policy.
